Western Kentucky University’s volleyball program is riding high after securing its 10th Conference USA tournament title on Sunday. The team will learn its postseason destiny at a selection show event hosted at Indian Hills Country Club, beginning at 4 p.m. local time. Fans are encouraged to attend and watch the NCAA selection show broadcast on ESPN alongside the team.
Third Consecutive Conference USA Title Highlights Program Success
This victory marks the third consecutive year WKU has claimed both the Conference USA regular season and tournament championships, bringing the program’s total championship count to an impressive 36. The Hilltoppers finished the regular season with a 27-5 record and are currently receiving votes in the latest AVCA Coaches’ Poll, holding a national ranking of #26.

A Legacy of NCAA Tournament Appearances
Hilltopper Volleyball boasts a remarkable history of postseason success, having qualified for the NCAA tournament in 14 of the last 16 seasons. This year’s appearance will be the 18th in program history for head coach Travis Hudson, solidifying his legacy as a leader in collegiate volleyball.
NCAA Tournament Schedule and Format
The first and second rounds of the NCAA tournament are scheduled to take place either December 4th and 5th, or December 5th and 6th. A total of 16 schools will serve as hosts for these opening rounds, with the field subsequently narrowing to four regional hosts. The tournament will reach its climax with the semifinals and finals in Kansas City, Missouri, beginning December 18th.
