During a raid carried out on Monday Bolivian Police and Firefighters in the Bella Vista area, on the road to Copacabana, the bodies of two people were found.
The operation, initially intended to locate the remains of a teenager missing since 2016, also revealed the body of a second individual.
The teenager’s mother, already in police custody, has confessed to being the author of both murders.
The director of the Special Force to Fight Crime (Felcc), Carlos Ibarra, reported that the search warrant was part of the investigation into the disappearance of Iván Denis Mamani Aruquipa, who was 16 years old at the time of his disappearance.
According to Ibarra, the evidence led the authorities to search the home of the young man’s mother.
During the intervention, it was discovered that the mother had not only committed the murder of her son, alleging “misconduct” on his part, but also admitted to having killed her partner in 2012.
Ibarra reported that the woman justified this second crime by saying that the man had tried to sexually assault her eldest daughter.
The police indicated that they are determining the appropriate judicial charges as they prepare to present the woman before a provisional judge.
