Luz Fabiola Rubiano de Fonseca, the woman who launched racist comments against Vice President Francia Márquez, will be sentenced by the crimes of acts of discrimination and aggravated harassment.

The defendant accepted the charges against her for the events that occurred on September 26, 2022, when she verbally attacked Márquez during an act in the Plaza de Bolívar in Bogotá, for which the Prosecutor’s Office will forward the indictment to a judge criminal, who will be in charge of issue the sentence.

Her case went viral on social media just weeks after singer Marbelle also launched racist comments against the vice president in August. However, Márquez accepted the artist’s public apology and that case did not escalate in the judicial courts until a conviction.
