First-Half Surge Seals Victory for FGCU
Florida Gulf Coast established a commanding lead early in the contest, scoring five unanswered goals in the first half. The Eagles found the back of the net in the 21st, 25th, 35th, 37th, and 43rd minutes, effectively deciding the match before halftime. They extended their advantage with another goal in the 51st minute, solidifying a decisive victory.
Ospreys See Action From Entire Roster
Despite the challenging scoreline, North Florida saw significant playing time for its squad. A total of 22 Ospreys logged action in the match, providing valuable experience for the team. Paige McSwigan, a redshirt junior midfielder/forward, led the Ospreys’ offensive efforts with two shots, including one on goal in the 67th minute. Freshman midfielder Emery Scerbo also made her collegiate debut, recording her first career shot.
