Saiful Haque, general secretary of Revolutionary Workers Party, said that although the price of all things has increased in the country, only the price of workers has decreased, the price of their labor power. Due to the lack of voting system, the importance of workers to political parties has decreased. The breakdown of the voting system has made workers more powerless, more disrespectful, more impoverished.
He said these things at the discussion meeting organized by Revolutionary Labor Solidarity on the occasion of Great May Day on Wednesday (May 1) morning. The discussion meeting was held at the Solidarity Auditorium in Segunbagicha.
Saiful Haque said, ‘Even though the price of all things has increased, the price of labor has decreased. The breakdown of the voting system has made workers more disempowered and poorer; Their value and status in society has decreased. The laborers are suffering the most in the abnormal heat. Pay 5,000 rupees to every worker’s family to deal with disaster situation.’
He said, ‘Most political parties use the workers, but do not stand for their rights. The government and the owners only ask the workers to increase production, but do not guarantee their humanitarian demands.’
