The ego clash between husband and wife is the movie ‘Gatta Kusti’ online.

Directed by Cella Iyavu, the film stars Vishnu Vishal, Aishwarya Leshmi, Karunas, Kali Venkat, Lizzy Antony, Redin Kingsley.

Veera (Vishnu Vishal) does not go to any work in the town and lives luxuriously with the inherited property. The friends are looking for a girl to marry Veera who is roaming around Kattap Panchayat, Aditadi along with villagers. However, he puts many conditions that his future wife should not be highly educated, her hair should be long, and she should be modest.

On the other hand, Keerthi (Aishwarya Lekshmi) is in Palakkad with dreams of making it in the wrestling competition. But he also agrees to be forced by his family to marry. A lot of people reject it, citing that she is a wrestler. At one point Veera wants to get a wife for everything, but the situation is set to marry Keerthi, who is the opposite. What happens after marriage? Know the truth about Keerthy? How Veera handles it after that is the rest of the story.

Aishwarya Lekshami is playing the role of Keerthy, the big strength of the film. He has given perfect performance in many intense scenes and massive fight scenes in the film. Aishwarya Lekshmi is attractive in many places like agreeing to the marriage because of the family’s compulsion, Vishnu falling for Vishal and making a grand entry in the break scene. Hero Vishnu Vishal has given his natural performance as usual. He understands the heroine’s character and narrows down his space accordingly. Vishnu Vishal can be praised as a producer and for choosing such a story line.

Karunas performance as Vishnu’s uncle is also worth mentioning. In many places, the verses he speaks are designed to reflect the real society. Especially the scene where one gang talks to Vishnu Vishal on how to behave towards a wife and another gang talks to Aishwarya Lekshmi on how to behave towards a husband was very funny. At the same time, it was a record of oppression that continued over time. Apart from these, Munishkanth, Kalivenkat, Lissy Antony and Sreeja Ravi have also contributed well. Redin Kingsley’s humor scenes have also worked well.

Films that usually talk about the conflict between men and women and their equality are taken very seriously. But the way this idea was presented in an entertainment film is special. Although some of the ideas are very propagandistic, director Cella has managed it with humour.

Sal Chakka is a special song composed by Justin Prabhakaran during the wedding. He has tried to add strength to the film as much as possible in the background music. Cinematography by Richard M Nathan and art direction by Umesh add strength to the film. If we look at the flaws of the film, the film starts and introduces all the characters and takes a long time to start the story which is a bit boring. It is only when the intermission is approaching that the film picks up pace.

It also diminishes little by little in the second half and disappears. In some scenes, after doing stereotype comedies like this is what women are like, it was a bit awkward to move on to the next scene. There are two villains in the film. But they have no contribution in this story. They come and go just to prove the strength of the hero, to show the mass build for him and to show that this hero is very good.

On the whole, ‘Gatta Kusti’ has come out as an entertaining film with some flaws.
