Former WWE star Mike Halac – better known as “Mantaur” – died a few days ago at the age of just 55. Wrestling fans around the world mourn the man who rose to become a cult figure in the league as a mixture of man and buffalo.
In 1995, Halac made his WWE debut, back then with a buffalo head. However, since this did not fit through the ring ropes, the league soon decided to leave the accessory in the cloakroom from now on. The American remained known to fans as Mantaur. In 2019, Halac entered the ring for the last time as part of a Legends Battle Royale, and now he has died at the age of 55. Nothing is publicly known about the cause of death, but Mantaur has been suffering from diabetes for several years.
