X, Formerly Twitter, Introduces Feature to Post Job Listings for Verified Organisations on the Platform

by time news

Elon Musk’s X, formerly known as Twitter, has announced the introduction of a new feature allowing verified organizations to post job listings on the microblogging platform. The company made the announcement through its official account, X Hiring, stating that the feature is exclusively available for verified organizations and is currently in beta version.

The new feature aims to help organizations feature their critical roles and reach millions of relevant candidates. According to a screenshot shared alongside the announcement, the job listings will be placed under the “We’re Hiring” section, which can be found under the organization’s account bio. Prospective candidates will be directed to the organization’s website to learn more about the position and submit their application.

This move comes after Elon Musk hinted about introducing such a feature back in May. In response to a suggestion that Twitter includes dating services, Musk expressed interest in the idea, adding, “Interesting idea, maybe jobs too.” This aligns with Musk’s vision of turning the platform into an “everything app.”

TechCrunch reported in July that Twitter made its first acquisition since Musk took ownership of the platform. The acquisition was a job-matching tech start-up named Laskie, which likely played a role in the creation and release of this new feature.

One US-based media company, WorkWeek, has already been using the feature for a month. Its CEO, Adam Ryan, praised Elon Musk’s Twitter, stating, “While there is a ton of hype around Zuck copying and pasting another app, Elon’s Twitter is shipping products that make a ton of sense. We just got access to posting jobs on our company page. Considering we’ve hired 20+ people from Twitter, this is a no-brainer.” However, at that time, Ryan mentioned that there was no extra fee for listing jobs on the company’s profile and it was included as part of a paid account package.

While the announcement did not mention any pricing details, reports suggest that the feature will be available to premium users for a monthly payment of $1000 (approximately Rs 82,300).

This new feature demonstrates Elon Musk’s commitment to expanding Twitter’s services and transforming it into a versatile platform. With the ability to post job listings, verified organizations on Twitter now have a powerful tool to connect with potential candidates and streamline their hiring processes.
