Jamuna Television became the champion in the ‘COOL-BSJA Media Cup Football-2024’ tournament. Today, Saturday, Jamuna Television defeated The Business Standard 1-0 in a breathtaking and exciting match on the artificial turf adjacent to the Bangladesh Football Federation building. Asaduzzaman Noor Bullet of the winning team was elected Man of the Final by scoring the only goal.

As the champion, Jamuna Television received an attractive trophy and a cash prize of Tk 30,000. As the runner-up, The Business Standard received a trophy and cash prize of Tk 15,000.

At the end of the finals, the Chief Operating Officer of Square Toiletries Ltd. Malik Mohammad Saeed, Head of Marketing of Square Toiletries Ltd. Dr. Jesneem Zaman gave the prizes to the winners. BSJA President ATM Saiduzzaman, General Secretary Anisur Rahman and Tournament Committee Convenor Raihan Al Mughani were present at this time.

Congratulating the champion Jamuna Television, Chief Operating Officer of Square Toiletries Limited Mohammad Sayeed said, ‘Square Group’s journey with BSJA is 25 years. That’s why our relationship is like a family. Square is always on the side of good deeds. Those who work with news have played. A good football game was played. Congratulations to the champion team. Two semi-finals were also held before the final. Yamuna Television beat Dainik Yugantar 5-0 in the semi-final. Mehdi Hasan Sohel was selected as the man of the match. Besides, The Business Standard beat Dhaka Tribune by 2-1 in the tiebreaker. Earlier, the match between the two teams was tied 2-2. Hasan Jamilur Rahman Saikat of The Business Standard received the man of the match award. He was also adjudged the best player of the tournament. 71 Television received the fair play award of the tournament.

Like every year, the invitational ‘Cool-BSJA Media Cup Football-2024’ with 32 teams under the auspices of Square Toiletries and the management of Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association (BSJA) started from March 5. Convener of the tournament committee, Raihan Al Mughani, thanked the sponsoring organizations and the participating teams and said, ‘The tournament ended beautifully and smoothly today. I am expecting that BSJA will organize the media cup tournament on a larger scale in the coming days as well.’
