The agency indicated at the 6:10 p.m. cutoff that the municipalities affected this May 1 by temperatures between 28 to 30 degrees Celsius between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. are:

  • Azcapotzalco
  • Alvaro Obregon
  • Benito Juarez
  • Coyoacan
  • Cuauhtemoc
  • Gustavo A. Madero
  • Iztacalco
  • Iztapalapa
  • Miguel Hidalgo
  • Tlahuac
  • Venustiano Carranza
  • Xochimilco

Due to the above, the Secretariat of Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection issued the following recommendations:

  • If you need to go out, use sunscreen.
  • Wear light-colored clothing.
  • Wear sunglasses, a hat and/or cap.
  • Try not to expose yourself to the sun for prolonged periods of time.
  • Avoid eating in public, as food decomposes quickly.
  • Do not do intense activities under the sun’s rays.
