Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has activated the issues of Kashi and Mathura amid the Gyanvapi mosque dispute, which involved the Supreme Court. The Chief Minister revealed that the Krishna Janmabhoomi dispute in Mathura is next on the BJP’s priority list. Yogi also stated in the Assembly that the Hindu community of the country is demanding only three seats. These three places are Ayodhya, Kashi and Mathura. He criticized the attitude of the opposition to prevent development in these areas.

“We have seen the ceremony in Ayodhya being received with great joy by the entire country. We also know how previous governments approached Ayodhya. They brought Ayodhya under bans and curfew. Ayodhya faced such injustices for centuries. In detail, we have to talk about the injustice that lasted for 5000 years. Pandas also faced injustice.

Krishna went to the Kauravas and tried to negotiate a compromise. The compromise was that you keep all the land and give at least five villages. But Duryodhana refused. Now only three have been asked – Ayodhya, Kashi and Mathura. We call for three centers of our faith. Over the years, the majority of Hindus have been pleading for their faith. Vote bank politics is the cause of the situation. Politics and votes lead to disputes.

When Rama was enshrined in Ayodhya, all the people of this country rejoiced. Ours is more than just a promise. It was implemented. Prana Pratishta in Rama temple used to take place earlier. But the previous governments have adopted an approach of obstructing the development of Ayodhya, Mathura and Kashi. All these three regions are very important religiously. It was when politics was brought there that there was division.

Last week, after a gap of 30 years, Hindu worshipers resumed prayers in one of the vaults of the mosque following a district court order in a case related to the Gyanvapi Masjid in Varanasi. Hours after the court order came, the prayer was held at three o’clock in the morning. Yogi’s statement comes within days. The vault where the prayers were held faces the Nandi idol of the nearby Kashi Vishwanath Temple.

The Hindu petitioners had approached the court seeking permission to pray in different parts of the mosque. Meanwhile, the Allahabad High Court today announced that the appeal filed by the church committee regarding the puja at the Gyanwapi mosque will be heard on the 12th of this month.

The main contention in another petition pending before the Allahabad High Court is that the place where the Shahi Eidgah Masjid in Mathura is located is the birth place of Lord Krishna and a Hindu temple was there earlier. According to the petition, a lotus-shaped pillar exists and an image of Seshanag, one of the Hindu gods who protected Krishna on the night he was born, is also under the church. Hindu symbols and carvings can be seen at the base of the pillar of the mosque. Therefore, the petitioners demanded that a commission be appointed to inspect the mosque.
