YouTube Launches AI Tool “Dream Track” Allowing Users to Create 30-Second Songs with Voice of Popular Artists

YouTube is set to launch an artificial intelligence tool called Dream Track, allowing users to create 30-second songs using the voices of popular music artists. The feature will be available in YouTube Shorts, the company’s newly launched platform in competition with TikTok.

The AI tool will allow users to select from the voices of nine popular music artists who have signed on for the rollout. These artists include Alec Benjamin, Charlie Puth, Charli XCX, Demi Lovato, John Legend, Papoose, Sia, T-Pain, and Troye Sivan. The feature is currently available to “a small group of select US creators.”

“I’m extremely excited and inspired… YouTube has been a great partner in outlining their approach to AI and understands the need to work together to develop this technology responsibly, ensuring it will accelerate creativity instead of replacing it,” said singer Charlie Puth in response to the new AI tool.

The launch of Dream Track is seen as a move to further compete in the short-form video space, particularly with the success of platforms like TikTok. By allowing users to create their own music using the voices of popular artists, YouTube hopes to attract more creators and users to its platform.

As the rollout of Dream Track continues, YouTube is expected to expand the availability of the feature to more users and creators in the future.
