The artist Zacarias Ferreira delivered a school in a community of Moca, Espaillat province, in an act that was attended by municipal and educational authorities, personalities, dozens of boys and girls, as well as fathers and mothers.
The cutting of the ribbon closed with a flourish the inauguration of the Basic School in the Amaceyes Arriba section of San Víctor, Moca.
Since 2009, the bachatero has been involved in educational projects in various Dominican communities and his representatives affirmed that there are other repair works in more schools.
Zacarías, a native of Tamboril, where he was born 54 years ago, is known as “The voice of tenderness” with a 25-year career in bachata.
The singer released his first bachata album in 1997, which he titled “Me libere” and contains 11 songs. This album was very well received at the national level, so much so that it was this that gave him his first Casandra award, currently Soberano Awards.
Among his most popular songs are “La asesina”, “El intruso”, “Ya no te buscaré”, “Sobran las palabras”, “I quedo”, “Amiga veneno” and “El triste” and “Dime qué faltó”.
