The Ministry of Health announced today (Monday) that the test results for hair samples from the murder scene of the late Tair Rada, conducted with advanced technology and full mitochondrial flooring, have reached the parties in the retrial that is currently being conducted for Roman Zadorov in the Nazareth District Court. According to a report in Walla !, the investigation found a match for Adir Habani, the former partner of Ola Kravchenko (AK).

At the request of the defense, and with the approval of the State Attorney and the opinion of the Attorney General at the time, Dr. Avichai Mandelblit, the National Institute of Forensic Medicine was asked to examine hair samples from the murder scene of the late Tair Rada. The results of the tests were handed over to the parties today. Following the developments, Zadorov’s defense attorney is expected to request an urgent hearing.

Ilana Rada, Tair’s mother, told Walla! In response to the publication: “We are in the right direction. After his testimony (Habani) behind closed doors I understood many things and we are in the right direction God willing. As I promised, the killer must be brought to jail and I will do it. If I could kill him I would do it.” Rada also asked to arrest Habani And Ola KravchenkoAnd issue a restraining order against them.

Habani responded to the new revelations through his lawyer, Yaron Forer: “I am glad that after ten years I approached according to which AK wore my clothes turns out to be correct, and hence the explanation for finding a hypothesis about Tair’s body.”

As a reminder, from a test conducted in 2018, a hair from the Rada murder scene was found to match the DNA profile of AH, but the prosecution claimed that scientific opinions had determined that “the hypothesis tested can fit thousands to tens of thousands of people in Israel.”

In 2021 retiring Supreme Court Justice Hanan Meltzer granted Roman Zadorov’s request and ordered a retrial for those convicted of the murder of Tair Rada. Retired Judge Meltzer argued that the need for a retrial clearly lies in the tangle of evidence in this case. He added that the scope of the retrial should not be limited in advance, noting that the non-force should focus on the following issues: foreign footprints, blood leakage on the heel of the shoe, the blood stain discovered in the third cell where Tair’s body was found, and DNA evidence.
