At the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, during the second competitive day of the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Cup, cross-battles are being held among gymnasts in the senior age category, Day.Az reported on Saturday with reference to Trend.
In the quarterfinals, the rival of the Azerbaijani grace Zohra Agamirova was the Italian Sofia Raffaeli. The gymnasts performed an exercise with a ball. For this program, Zohra Agamirova received 32.400 points from the judges, and Sofia Raffaeli – 35.000 points, thereby losing the Azerbaijani grace to her rival.
It should be noted that the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Cup takes place on May 3-5 at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku. Representatives from 37 countries take part in the competition. Gymnasts perform in two age categories – “seniors” (individual program and group exercises) and “juniors” (individual program).
At the European Cup in the “senior” age category, Azerbaijan is represented by Zohra Agamirova and Kamilla Seidzade in the individual program, as well as a team in group exercises, which included Gullyu Agalarzade, Kamilla Aliyeva, Elizaveta Luzan, Daria Sorokina, Lyaman Alimuradova and Zeinab Gummetova; Among the “juniors” are Fidan Gurbanly, Ilakha Bakhadirova, Govhar Ibragimova and Shams Agaguseinova, performing in the individual program.
