MADRID, January 9, 2026 – A war of words has erupted between the creators of the controversial reality show La casa de los gemelos (House of the Twins) and the media, following the release of an investigative report on Friday. Brothers Daniel and Carlos Ramos launched a scathing rebuke of media coverage from their YouTube channel, accusing outlets of manipulation and focusing solely on negative aspects of their project.

Brothers Accuse Media of “Carroñero” Tactics

The Ramos brothers responded to the report with a lengthy online statement, alleging unfair practices and a purposeful attempt to damage their reputation. They claim the media selectively presented information, ignored positive contributions, and incited public outrage.

  • The brothers allege the report unfairly emphasized a contentious clip, presenting it without context and ignoring subsequent apologies.
  • Carlos Ramos criticized the media for overlooking their philanthropic efforts, specifically a collaboration with a dog rescue institution.
  • Both brothers expressed a desire for coexistence with the media, but vowed to defend themselves against perceived attacks.

The response came ahead of a special gala event scheduled ten days after the conclusion of La casa de los gemelos 2. Daniel Ramos initiated the online statement, setting a combative tone. carlos Ramos followed, drawing parallels to other high-profile media controversies, such as the alleged violation of carlota Prado during gran Hermano (Big Brother), and instances of political corruption, to illustrate what he described as “many incongruencies.”

“I’m going to learn your language to seem like you,” Carlos stated, “But I will never be as disloyal and manipulative as you are.” He accused the media of inciting public outrage while ignoring more pressing issues. “There’s no shortage of vital things in life to investigate,” he added.

The brothers took particular offense to what they perceived as a selective portrayal of their actions. Carlos emphasized that the media “only talked about the bad,” and failed to acknowledge their partnership with a dog rescue organization. “We brought in an association of abandoned dogs. A social action in front of more than half a million people, where we asked that they be adopted and not abandoned, and we gave visibility to an association that will also not appear in any media,” he said indignantly.

Daniel Ramos addressed the use of a specific clip in the promotional material for the investigative report, arguing it misrepresented the situation. “When you take responsibility for something, they put what came before taking that responsibility,” he explained, referencing a moment where an apology followed a physical altercation. “It’s very ugly to issue a statement and start a program with a violence that wasn’t allowed, as the person was expelled.” He labeled television networks and the media as “vultures.”

Despite their strong criticism, Carlos Ramos clarified that their intention wasn’t to engage in “absurd wars” with the media or to position themselves as superior. “You’re not going to lose your jobs, if you have many millions of euros,” he said. “We are two broke guys next to you.Don’t take this as a war, take it as a ‘let’s wake up, let’s see what the people want to hear, what people want.'”

However, Daniel Ramos issued a clear warning: “If they attack, we will respond.” He affirmed his willingness to engage in a media battle, regardless of the resources available to his opponents. “They’re not going to silence us, they’re not going to shut us up. You’re going to keep broadcasting crap against us. But hey, we’re two guys who are going to move forward,” he concluded.

What constitutes fair reporting in the age of social media influencers? The Ramos brothers’ accusations raise questions about media responsibility and the potential for bias in covering online personalities.
