Thiruvananthapuram: A daughter hit her father on the head with a stone following a property dispute. Vizhinjam police arrested the daughter on the complaint of her father. The victim was identified as Sreedharan Nadare, 73, of Kunnuvila, Puliyirkonam, Payatuvila.
The incident took place on Friday. Sreedharan Nadar lives with his son Anil. Minimol often went to the house and argued that Sreedharan Nadar had given more property to his brother Anil. There was a similar dispute on Friday.
Anil’s brother, who was in the backyard after the fight, smashed the glass of his car with a stone. Police said that Sreedharan attacked Nadar with a stone when he was provoked by Anil’s interrogation.
He also suffered a fall from a tree and was trampled on by his surgeon. Minimol then untied the cow which was tied in the yard. Sreedharan’s relatives rushed him to the hospital for treatment.
Relatives said he had eight stitches on his broken head. The accused, who was produced in court, was remanded. Vizhinjam SHO Prajeesh Sasi, S.I. G. Vinod, A.S.I. Chandralekha and Geethu, a female police officer, arrested the accused.
