Today, Wednesday, the General Traffic Directorate announced the adoption of electronic collection in Holy Karbala by 100 percent, while confirming that encouraging measures have been taken to work with this system and abandon manual payment.

Director of the Information Technology Center at the General Traffic Directorate, Major General Adel Al-Araji, told the (INA): “The General Traffic Directorate, under the guidance of the government, has begun working on the electronic collection system,” indicating that “this platform serves the citizen and the directorate to simplify procedures for the citizen and benefit from our cadres.” And combating financial and administrative corruption.”

Al-Araji added, “The directorate has taken all encouraging measures to reach a 100 percent completion rate,” explaining that “all governorates have entered the electronic collection system and citizens have a choice between electronic payment or cash payment.”

He continued, “There will be coordination with the Central Bank in order to encourage the citizen to abandon manual payment and resort to electronic payment,” pointing out that “1,138 electronic payment transactions were recorded within one day in Baghdad only, and in the Holy Karbala Governorate, the electronic payment rate was 100 percent, and we strive For all governorates to fully operate the electronic collection system.”
