To recognize the efforts of all the participants in the tournament that was held on El Sunzal beach, in La Libertad, the Government of El Salvador celebrated the successful closing of the ISA World Longboard Championship.
“The ISA World Longboard Championship Surf City El Salvador, which took place from April 19 to 25, broke a record in attendance, bringing together 129 of the best longboard surfers from around the world,” said the Press Secretariat.
For this edition, the Hawaii delegation was the absolute winner, as they won the gold medal in the men’s and women’s categories, and they also obtained the champion team trophy, surpassing all the delegations that participated in the score.
“The country’s delegation of surfers also had an outstanding participation in the ISA World Longboard Championship, placing El Salvador in 16th position in the ranking of this sporting discipline worldwide,” mentioned the Press Secretariat.
