According to the information released by the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning may occur at a few places in Tamil Nadu, Puduwai and Karaikal today (October 06). Mayiladuthurai, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Cuddalore, Kallakurichi, Villupuram, Thiruvannamalai, Tirupattur, Vellore, Ranipet, Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram districts and Puducherry and Karaikal districts received heavy rain.

From 06.10.2022 to 10.10.2022 : Cyclone winds of 40 to 50 km per hour and intermittent speed of 60 km per hour are expected in Kumari Sea, Gulf of Mannar and adjoining South Tamil Nadu coastal areas and South West Bengal Sea adjacent to Sri Lanka.
