Every year Basque culture takes over Durango at the return of the bridge in December and 2023 will be no different. The organization is slowly explaining the details of the fair. The first was the date, from the 6th to the 10th of December, then it was the turn of the slogan and the image and now the time has come for the groups that will go on stage in Ahotsenea. The live broadcasts will be non-stop from 11:00 to 22:00 and can also be followed via streaming on the www.durangokoazoka.eus website.
A total of 49 performances will be offered by the musical groups, and in the case of 17 of them they will be playing their first album at the Plateruena cultural shelter. “By opening a door to new creators, our goal is to continue strengthening Basque culture,” they explained. In fact, Ahotsenea receives music and literary presentations with the intention of being a “meeting place to share the works of creators with culture lovers”, that is, to be a “showcase of Basque musicians and writers”. The 17 groups that will fulfill their dream of releasing their first album are: Akaleia, Eider, Eire, Etxepe, Haira, Haize-arrosa, Ithaka, Kadira, Karma, Ke lepo, Lilo, Mamu, Muare, Nakar, TRB, Txopet and Zatibi.
On the other hand, the 32 groups that will present the album having already performed in Ahotsen are the following: Amorante, Arima, Braulio, EKG, Esanezin, Ezezez, Feline, Ibil Bedi, Intza, Jabi Patxon and Kofradia Rock, Kemaronte, Kompost, Kuma No Motor, Leihotikan, Lotura , Marlik, Miren and Roberto Etxebarria, Modus Operandi, Moxal, Murgi, Muzak, Nøgen, Otoi, Postcard Collectors, Rukula, Sara Zozaya, Silitia, Toc, Yogurinha Borova, Xabi San Sebastian, Zeker and Zukan.
In addition to that, the organization emphasized that they are also preparing a program with activities in the areas of Irudenea, Kabia, Saguganbara, Szenatokia and Talaia to turn the Durango Fair into a fantasy.
