18 killed in missile strike on Ukrainian mall

The day before yesterday, Russia launched a missile attack on a shopping mall in the central city of Kremensuk. Reports say there were about 1,000 people inside the mall at the time.

The civilians, shocked by the missile attack, fled and took refuge in nearby bomb disposal shelters. Part of the building was set on fire by a missile attack. Thus the sugarcane zone was formed there. Rescue operations were immediately stepped up.

Eighteen people were killed when a Russian missile struck the wreckage. Twenty-five people were rescued with serious injuries and hospitalized. 36 people are missing.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zhelensky has described the missile attack as one of the worst in European history. Rescue operations are ongoing there.

A day of mourning was observed yesterday in the region where the Russian missile attack took place. Meanwhile, Western leaders have decided to continue providing aid to Ukraine.

Following these attacks, the UN Security Council called on Ukraine to comply. The Security Council urgently discussed the matter.
