Bharatpur (Rajasthan) ∙ Another lynching in the country due to cow smuggling. Six people have been arrested in connection with the burning of 2 youths who were abducted from Rajasthan’s Bharatpur in Bhiwani, Haryana. Nasir (25) and Junaid (35) were found burnt in the car. The relatives of the victims alleged that cow vigilantes who are Bajrang Dal activists were behind the incident. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot strongly condemned the incident and ordered strict action. The two who went missing on Wednesday were found dead on Thursday morning.

Bharatpur IG Gaurav Srivastava said that the investigation has been intensified and no one has been arrested. Bharatpur SP Shyam Singh said that a case was registered against Anil, Srikanth, Rink Saini, Lokesh Singla and Mohit Yadav (MONU) at the Gopalgarh police station based on the complaint filed by their relatives. ‘Those who are in custody are Bajrang Dal workers. However, it is not clear whether they are involved in the crime’ – said Gaurav Srivastava.

It is the position of the police that there is no confirmation that the bodies of Junaid and Nasir were recovered from the vehicle. The forensic team reached the spot yesterday and conducted an expert examination. Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that the car in which the two were traveling was destroyed by fire. The vehicle belongs to their acquaintance Asil Khan. Relatives said that both have no connection with cow smuggling. According to the complaint filed by the cousin Ismail, the duo were beaten up by a group of about 10 people after leaving home on Wednesday morning for work purposes. Nasir got married recently. Junaid’s wife is Sajida. Has 3 children.

Similar complaints are pending against Mohit and others. On January 28, a group led by Mohit handed over a 22-year-old man to the police on charges of cow smuggling in Nooh, Haryana. The young man later died in hospital. The explanation given by the police is that the young man’s car collided with a lorry. Meanwhile, Mohit Yadav posted a video on social media stating that the allegations are baseless.
