According to India Today exit poll results, BJP will win 36-45 seats in Tripura. The election results will be out on March 2.

Nagaland, which went to polls today, recorded a good turnout. Voting was from 7 am to 4 pm. When the information was finally received, around 75 percent polling was recorded in Nagaland. However, Meghalaya, which polled along with Nagaland, saw a drop in voter turnout. Meghalaya recorded 65 percent polling.
Polling was held for 59 out of 60 seats in Nagaland and Meghalaya. BJP’s candidate Cacheto Kinimi was elected unopposed in Sunebotho in Nagaland. Kinimi was elected unopposed after Congress candidate NK Soomi withdrew his papers on February 10, the last day to withdraw his papers.
Elections in Meghalaya’s Sohiong were postponed following the death of UDP candidate and former Home Minister HDR Lyngdoh.
