2026 Golden Globes Nominations: Full List & Winners Predictions

2026 Golden Globe Awards: ‘One Battle After Another’ Leads Nominations, Glaser Returns to Host

The 2026 Golden Globe Awards nominees were announced Monday, recognizing the best in film and television. The nominations signal the official kickoff to awards season, with Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another emerging as the frontrunner with a leading nine nods.

The Golden Globes recognize achievements across both dramatic and comedic (or musical) genres. Marlon Wayans and Skye P. Marshall announced the nominees from Beverly Hills, setting the stage for the 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony, scheduled for January 11th and broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+.

One Battle After Another garnered nominations not only for Anderson’s direction and screenplay but also for its stellar cast, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Teyana Taylor, Sean Penn, and Chase Infiniti. Close behind with eight nominations is Joachim Trier’s Sentimental Value, a Norwegian family drama that also received recognition for its ensemble cast – Stellan Skarsgård, Renate Reinsve, Elle Fanning, and Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas.

Canadian talent is also making a significant impact this year. Korean-Canadian director Maggie Kang received a nomination for Best Animated Feature for her debut film, KPop Demon Hunters, and will compete against fellow Toronto-based filmmaker Domee Shi, co-director of the fantasy adventure Elio.

Comedian Nikki Glaser is set to return as host, following a well-received debut last year. The awards ceremony will also include the presentation of two prestigious honors: the Cecil B. DeMille Award, to be presented to Helen Mirren, and the Carol Burnett Award, recognizing Sarah Jessica Parker’s contributions to television. A new annual prime time special, “Golden Eve,” will honor the recipients of both awards, airing January 8th on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
