Data from Thursday 7 October: positive rate below 1%, the number of current positives continues to drop, 10 regions where no deaths have been recorded

the new cases of coronavirus in Italy (yesterday there were 3,235, here the bulletin). It goes up like this at least 4.692.274 the number of people who have contracted the SARS-CoV-2 virus (including recovered and died) since the outbreak began. THE deaths today I’m 41 (yesterday there were 39), for a total of 131,198 victims from February 2020. People recovered or discharged they are altogether 4.473.903 e 3.966 those that came out of the Covid nightmare today (yesterday 5,345). The positive current – the subjects who have the virus – turn out to be in everything 87.173 , equal to -1.074 compared to yesterday (-2.05 the day before). The number of new positives decreases but with fewer swabs processed.
The swabs and the scenario
I total swabs (molecular and antigenic) were 297.356, or 4,417 less than yesterday when it was 301,773. While the positivity rate drops again and goes below 1,%: 0.98%; yesterday it was 1.1%. Here is the map of the contagion in Italy.
The independent monitoring of the Gimbe foundation today highlights the steady decline in infections for the fifth consecutive week. We are talking about 21,060 new infections compared to 23,159 in the previous week, equal to -9%. As well as people in home isolation drop by 8.5% (86,898 compared to 94,995).
I vaccinated
The vaccine doses administered are over 85,7 millions. Citizens who have received the second dose are over 42,99 millions (79,61% of the population over 12). 45.5 million people (84.35% of vaccinables) have received a single dose, while over 214 thousand have had the additional dose (third dose or booster). The victims
There are 41 victims in the bulletin against 39 on Wednesday. The analysis of the data of the Gimbe Foundation highlights the decrease in deaths, equal to -19.4% compared to the previous week, even if today the number of victims slightly increased compared to yesterday’s figure. There are 10 regions with 0 deaths and none, today, with double-digit death tolls. The highest number is recorded in Sicily with 9 deaths.
The health system
Hospital stays in each area decrease for the third consecutive day. The beds occupied in ordinary Covid wards I’m 48 less than yesterday (yesterday -96), for a total of 2,824 hospitalized. The beds occupied in intensive care (TI) are a total of 403: 12 less than yesterday (considering the balance between people who left and those who entered IT) while 24 new entrants to intensive care were registered today (24 yesterday).

The Public Administration of Bolzano announces that of the 33 new positives 17 derive from antigenic tests confirmed by molecular tests

The Veneto region announces that some cases confirmed by antigen tests having been subsequently confirmed by molecular tests have been reclassified among the latter.
