The government wants to launch in 2022 a program for the production of universal auto components worth 30 billion rubles. This initiative is contained in an additional list of measures to support the economy under the sanctions of March 29 (available from Vedomosti). The corresponding departmental act should be prepared by April 11 by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Economics and the Ministry of Finance.
We are talking about a program of grant support for enterprises in the automotive component industry from the Industrial Development Fund (IDF), two Vedomosti sources familiar with this initiative explain. According to one of them, the measure involves an increase in budgetary funding for the IDF so that it can issue more soft loans to auto component manufacturers to replace imported products. This is confirmed by another interlocutor, who adds that the final decision on the allocation of funds has not yet been made.
