With a new album, where they cover their favorite songs, they celebrate their 30 years of “Underground Currents”, starting, at the same time, a big tour in Greece and Cyprus, to meet old and new friends.

The last stop of this tour will be Ioannina, where they will appear on Sunday, April 28, at 9 pm, at “Polychoro Agora”.
“Underground Currents” is a musical group whose structural element is the concept of transformation. Based on this logic and on the occasion of the landmark year they are going through, they decided to release a new cover album entitled “30 years in the basement”. The arrangements – transformations began seven years ago, during their rehearsals in the studio, as a musical game between them, and then they began to be transferred live on stage, pleasantly surprising their audience. The album includes a total of ten songs (four traditional, four rebetika, one folk and one rock), performed in a more experimental mood, recapturing the sound that the band has shaped over the last ten years working as a trio, realizing one of the most classic and powerful rock band formations (bass-guitar-drums). Grigoris Klioumis, the longest-serving member of Underground Currents, the voice and soul of the group, Tasos Peppas on drums, with more than twenty years in the underground, and Nikos Youssef, who was a close friend of the group and is now on stage above since ten years with his bass and musical saw. The album “30 years in the basement” is released on all digital platforms.
Tickets cost 13 euros in advance and 15 euros at the box office. Pre-sale from Public, the Nova store and “Manthos Optica” stores, as well as online from more.com.
