The Tamil Nadu government had announced a night curfew on weekdays and a full curfew on Sunday due to the spread of corona and omega. According to the Chennai Police, 13,000 policemen will be on security duty in Chennai as there will be a full curfew on Sunday.
A further 372 vehicle check posts will be set up to intensify security and patrols. Police have warned that outsiders will be prosecuted and vehicles confiscated, except for essential necessities.
According to the Tambaram Police, 1,200 police personnel will be deployed in the area and barricades will be set up at 34 places. According to the Avadi Police, 1750 police personnel will be deployed in areas under the jurisdiction of the Avadi Police Station and barricades will be set up at 109 places.
Especially since there will be a 32-hour full curfew from 10pm tonight until 5am on the 10th, police are on high alert.
