Usman Khawaja, who scored a century in the first innings, was unbeaten on 101. Green scored 74 runs. Jake Leach took 4 wickets for England. Usman-Green combined for 179 for the 5th wicket.
Winning target of 388 runs:
Australia set a target of 388 for England. At stumps on Saturday, England were 30 not out in 11 overs. Zack Groley (22) and Hasib Hameed (8) are on the field.
With the rest of the one-day game on Sunday, England are in a position to win if they score 358 runs.
England, who have already lost 3 matches, look set to win the Sydney Test.
The final and 5th match will be played at the Bluntstone Stadium in Hobart on the 14th as a daytime Test.
