Unclaimed gold and silver jewelery stolen from KSRTC bus to be auctioned after gap of six years. The auction is for jewelery received between October 25, 2012 and August 31, 2019. 363.60 pavan of gold and 1942.109 grams of silver are being auctioned. The auction is on 30th of this month.

20.62g (24 carat), 755.908 (916 gold), 1537.47g (22 carat), 373.680g (20 carat), 21.150g (18 carat), 199.138g (set gold), 0.850g (gold below 50%), 1942.109 grams (silver) is being auctioned. KSRTC officials said that the last auction was held in 2016. Jewelery is only allowed to be viewed in person during the auction. The base price of jewelery will be fixed as per the market price on the date of auction. The price of jewelery should be paid to KSRTC on the day of auction itself.

The jewelery received from the bus will be given at the counter of the conductor depot along with the collection and receipt will be received. This will be recorded in the depot register. If the people arrive within a few days and present the documents, they will write on the paper that the jewelery has been received and then release it after purchase. If the owners are not present, the person in charge of the depot will record the weight of the jewelery and send it to the Chief Office. Such jewelery is now being auctioned.
