Washington and Danny Avdia surrendered tonight (between Friday and Saturday) 128:86 to Brooklyn and recorded their most humiliating loss of the season, 42 points. The Nets rose to 6:3, the Wizards dropped to 5:4 after the defeat at Capital One Arena.
The Israeli forward did not start in the top five, but played 22 minutes. Even so, he finished with just four points and added a rebound and an assist in a game where his team completely collapsed in the second half.
Washington went into the break trailing by 12 points after the opponent’s 0:11 run, when in the third quarter it scored only 13 points (27:13) and in the last quarter only 16 points (32:16) en route to a big defeat.
For the Wizards, Bradley Beal stood out with 20 points and Kyle Kuzma with 19 points, while Kevin Durant excelled with 28 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds. Nicholas Claxton added 18 points for the winner.
