AI can open up more possibilities for employees by enhancing their capabilities. In fact, 87% of executives surveyed believe that employees are more likely to be augmented than replaced by generative AI. That varies by role: 97% of executives think purchasing clerks are more likely to be augmented than replaced, compared to 93% for risk and compliance clerks, 93% for finance, 77% customer service and 73% marketing.

With AI poised to take on more manual and repetitive tasks, employees surveyed report that engaging in impactful work is the number one factor that matters to them beyond compensation and job security, more important than flexible work arrangements, opportunities of growth and equity.
