20 stories – touching and inspiring, of 43 dedicated, generous, honest benefactors were honored by “24 hours”. For the 21st time, we gathered the “Worthy Bulgarians”, whose community already numbers 875 people.
This time there were no politicians. Only the mayor of Sofia, Vasil Terziev, and Yordanka Chobanova, head of the European Commission’s representation in our country, but stepping into the city hall and diplomacy, both of them are outside of political passions.
For the first time we made a chain of big hearts – worthy ones handed to others equally worthy. This was also one of the messages of 2024: good deeds are passed on and involve more and more people and thus change the environment in our country.
The ceremony was emotional from the first minutes. The first were the Poets – artists who fill halls with eternal poems: Vlado Penev, Yulian Vergov, Zahari Baharov, Ivan Burnev…
And the creator of the project – Diana Alexieva, presented the great distinction – a copy of the golden rhyton from the Panagyur Golden Treasure, to Petya Ivanova and Ninela Varbanova from the “Angels on the Road” foundation. These are the mothers who have lost their children in crashes and are committed to the cause of legal changes to stop the madness on the roads.
