4th Extraordinary Session of the National Public Security Council is held

On behalf of the state governor, Rutilio Escandón Cadenas, the executive secretary of the State Public Security System (SESESP), Sergio Alejandro Aguilar Rivera, participated in the Fourth Extraordinary Meeting 2023 of the National Public Security Council, an event that took place in the state From Oaxaca.

This session was led by the Secretary of the Interior, Adán Augusto López Hernández; the secretary of Public Security and Citizen Protection, Rosa Icela Rodríguez and the executive secretary of the SNSP, Clara Luz Flores Carrales, in addition, governors from all over the country were present.

Among the topics on the agenda is the approval by the National Public Security Council of the distribution criteria, formulas, and variables for the allocation of resources from the Fund for the Strengthening of Public Security Institutions (FOFISP), through which 40 million 180 thousand 199 pesos were assigned to Chiapas, which will be used to strengthen public security institutions throughout the state.

During his participation, the Secretary of the Interior, Adán Augusto López Hernández, thanked everyone present for joining the security policy of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and called on the governors, executive secretaries and members of the Government of Mexico, to continue working with the guidelines for the formulation of public security policies, as well as promote the effective coordination of the instances that make up the security institutions and follow up on each of the actions.

Another of the agreements approved on the agenda of this session is the update of the Master Program for Professionalization, in accordance with the National Model of Police and Civic Justice, which in Chiapas is given prompt follow-up on the instructions of Governor Rutilio Escandón Cadenas, assured Sergio Aguilar, head of the SESP Executive Secretariat.
