Today, the last trading day of the week, Tata Group shares of Tata Communications and Tata Steel traded at its 52-week low. Shares of Tata Steel hit a 52-week low of Rs 895.50 in the Nifty today. Tata Communications’ share price is at Rs 872, close to a 52-week low of Rs 856.25. According to stock market experts, Tata Steel is subject to the stock price range and long-term investors should maintain the buy-on-tips strategy.

Commenting on Tata Steel’s share price outlook, Anuj Gupta, Vice President, IIFL Securities, said: Investors lost a lot of shares after the excise tax was levied.

However, the role of Tata Communications is in ‘down trend’ and this trend is expected to continue. Therefore, buyers are advised to wait as the share price of Tata Communications can be tested from Rs.800 to Rs.790.

Tata Steel shares can start maintaining a ‘buy on tips’ strategy from the current levels. Tata Communications, meanwhile, is said to be hovering between Rs 800 and Rs 790 in downtrends at current levels.
