90% of Spaniards have increased their heating bill and 1 in 4 Spanish households has an average monthly heating expense of more than €100. These are the data derived from the 2nd study of “Heating and air conditioning consumption habits of Spanish homes” by Bosch Home Comfort, a division of the Bosch Group.

Alicia Escudero, Marketing and Product Director of Bosch Termotecnia Iberia, explains that “more and more consumers are considering not only improving the energy efficiency of their homes, but also making them more responsible. And Bosch wants to help all Spanish homes reduce their heating costs, offering them efficiency, savings and comfort, while reducing the environmental impact.”

Two years ago, only 19% of households spent more than €100 on heating, compared to the current 26%, which has meant a change in habits.

Isaac Reguera, product manager at Heating Iberia, explains that “the study confirms that current user demands for heating focus on value for money, efficiency and savings, in that order. In fact, around 45 “% of Spaniards are considering changing their current heating system for another that runs on renewable energy due to the rise in prices.”

The study reflects that among the measures adopted to control the energy bill is the reduction of hours of use and the reduction of temperature.

Susana Olivo concludes: “We have incorporated the latest technology into our equipment, integrating connectivity, to offer greater control and security to consumers and make the homes of the future a reality of the present.”

Getting a more efficient home with less expense is everyone’s desire and now more necessary than ever.
