Morocco will return to GMT time on Sunday March 19 at 03:00 on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, indicates a press release from the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform.

This change is made in accordance with the provisions of decree 2.18.855 of October 26, 2018 relating to legal time and the decree of the Head of Government of March 6, 2023 relating to the same subject. The return to legal time (GMT+1), advancing 60 minutes, will take place after the end of the blessed month of Ramadan, on Sunday April 23, 2023 at 2 a.m., according to the press release.

Working hours in administrations, public establishments and local authorities will also experience a change during the holy month of Ramadan with the adoption of a continuous schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The necessary facilities will be granted to civil servants and agents for the performance of Friday prayers.
