The Minister of State, Minister of the Public Service, Labor and Social Protection, Bassolma Bazié, received, this Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at his office in Ouagadougou, a delegation of soldiers, gendarmes and police officers dismissed following the 2011 mutiny.

To respond to the Head of State’s call for general mobilization, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, Farma Tiéba and his comrades came to hand over an envelope of 127,000 CFA francs to the Minister of State, Minister of Public Service, labor and social protection as their contribution to the peace effort.

On the occasion, those expelled from 2011 asked the Minister of State, Bassolma Bazié, to plead with the highest authorities so that they could join their brothers in arms engaged in the fight against terrorism.

“We expect from the rulers that a decree be issued in favor of the soldiers, gendarmes and police officers who were struck off in 2011 to allow us to go with our brothers who are still in the ranks to defend our nation”, underlined Farma Tiéba. The Minister of State hailed the financial contribution of the soldiers, gendarmes and police removed from the peace effort.

As for their plea to join the frontlines of the fight, Bassolma Bazié said to have taken good note and will faithfully report this grievance to whom it may concern.
