As a reminder, the Pierre Castel Prize was initiated in 2018 to support the growth of young African entrepreneurs. This prize is also organized in six African countries, namely Burkina Faso, Algeria, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Madagascar and the Democratic Republic of Congo. For this edition in Burkina Faso, 156 applications were received. Of these applications, only 60 were eligible. After several selection phases, the two finalists were selected.

Also, this prize rewards initiatives carried out by young African entrepreneurs in the fields of Agriculture and Agri-food whose activities contribute to socio-economic and environmental development.
