Present in Bobo-Dioulasso in the Hauts-Bassins region, the Minister of Territorial Administration, Decentralization and Security (MATDS), Mr. Émile ZERBO, made a series of visits on Friday July 14, 2023 which led him to the Governorate, to the Regional Directorate of the National Police and to the 2nd Gendarmerie Legion.

The tour of the Minister of Territorial Administration, Decentralization and Security, Mr. Émile ZERBO, began with the Governorate where he went to discuss with the Secretary General of the region, Mrs. Mariama KONATÉ / GNANOU, on subjects relating management of the Hauts-Bassins region.
The Minister Emile ZERBO then went to the Regional Directorate of the National Police where he met the officials at the regional level of the various entities. Minister ZERBO encouraged them and exhorted them to cohesion, loyalty and respect for the hierarchy.
The Regional Director of the National Police, the Chief Police Commissioner, Pierre Claver KONATÉ, welcomed the presence of their supervising Minister before expressing his admiration for his appointment to this post.
He took the opportunity to thank the Minister Delegate, in charge of Security, the Chief Commissioner of Police, Mahamadou SANA, who satisfied some of their grievances after his recent visit.
The 2nd Gendarmerie Legion, located at Camp Kuinima, was the next stage of Minister Émile ZERBO’s visit. Its Commander, Lieutenant-Colonel, Issa YAGUIBOU, after a presentation of this entity, gave a string of grievances.
And, according to the Chief of Staff of the National Gendarmerie, Lieutenant-Colonel Évrard SOMDA, these take into account most of the concerns of the institution, at the national level. Alongside his men, Lieutenant-Colonel Issa YAGUIBOU, pledged to continue the fight for the reconquest of the entire national territory.
As at the Regional Directorate of the National Police, Minister Émile ZERBO, in the guest book, praised the National Gendarmerie, in general, and the 2nd Legion in particular, for its commitment to always assume the functions and tasks which return to him with professionalism, despite the many difficulties. He welcomed the efforts already made and asked to maintain this patriotic flame very high.
On the sidelines of these activities, Minister Émile ZERBO paid a courtesy visit to the head of the Canton of Bobo -Bobo-Dioulasso. He went there to present his courtesies to His Majesty Siriki SANOU, especially since this trip to Bobo-Dioulasso is the first he has made in his capacity as Minister. His Majesty Siriki SANOU, made blessings in favor of a prosperous Burkina, where peace, security and tranquility reign.
