Under the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Prospective, the council adopted a draft law creating the Caisse de dépôt et d’investissement du Burkina Faso. For the Minister of Economy, Finance and Prospective, Aboubacar NACANABO, this fund was born following the dissolution of the Deposit and Consignment Fund due to operating problems.
This new version of the fund presents several innovations, namely the change of name to take into account the investment aspect, the reconfiguration of the Supervisory Board for greater transparency and finally the participatory aspect of the actors concerned in the process of setting up the box.
Still on behalf of the ministry in charge of the economy, the council adopted a draft decree regulating the disposal of reformed and assimilated movable and material assets of the State and its dismemberments. “Auctions have always been carried out in a traditional way and we have noticed shortcomings such as the lack of transparency.
We have developed a digital platform so that auctions are now online,” said Minister NACANABO. This decree will give a legal framework to this new way of doing things and will make it possible to give more efficiency and transparency to the auction system.
Under the same ministry, the council adopted two decrees which enshrine significant changes for the benefit of the structures of the Ministry of Sports, Youth and Employment. The first decree concerns the creation of a public establishment of the State of an administrative nature called “Burkina Suudu Bawdè “, born from the merger of several public institutions of the State under the technical supervision of the ministry in charge of sports and involved in vocational training. The second decree relates to the creation, attributions and operation of “Burkina Yin-wisgr Meta” following the consolidation of several structures of the department in charge of Sports involved in the management of sports and leisure infrastructures.
According to the Minister of Sports, Youth and Employment, Boubacar SAVADOGO, these two decrees will make it possible to breathe more dynamism, coherence and efficiency into the functioning of these structures which come under his department.
