The Russian electric car “Atom” is now available for pre-order, reported in the press service of the manufacturer “Kama”.
“We are opening pre-orders for the first Atoms. <...> It is already possible to pre-order and receive a digital key that entitles one of the first to purchase an electric car in 2025,” the message says.
When booking an electric car, it is proposed to make a payment for 7,000 rubles, which will be included in the cost of the car. The price of the electric car is still unknown.
In May, Igor Povarazdnyuk, General Director of Kama JSC, at the presentation of the first functional sample of Atom, announced that the serial assembly of the electric car would begin in the summer of 2025. Povarazdnyuk noted that by taxi standards, the electric car would be in the segment between the “comfort” and “comfort +” classes . It is assumed that the electric car will be available for export to the markets of China and Southeast Asia. The general director of the company also stated that in the future, Atom could enter foreign markets as a car manufacturer and assemble abroad.
Atom is a project of Kama, which was founded in the summer of 2021. The main investors of the project are the general director of Kamaz Sergey Kogogin, directly “Kamaz” and businessman Ruben Vardanyan, who transferred his shares to the trust management of the family fund.
