The head of NASA said that Russia is not participating in the space race

NASA chief Bill Nelson, commenting on the preparations for a manned flight to orbit the moon as part of the Artemis-2 mission, said that only two states are participating in the modern space race – these are the United States and China.

He expressed doubt that Moscow is capable of landing cosmonauts on the moon within the timeframe that Washington sets for itself.

“I think the space race is between us and China,” Nelson said.
