A month ago, the Wikimedia community of Burkina Faso launched a photography contest aimed at promoting Burkina Faso’s natural heritage and enriching the database of copyright-free photos on Wikimedia Commons. In the end, more than 200 photos were received from 24 candidates. For this edition, only 15 best photos were awarded. The 1st prize went to Claude Yabré for his work entitled “the approach of the pachyderm”. For him, this image was intended to bring out the beauty of the Burkinabè landscape. “This photo which was taken at the level of the Tambi Kaboré de Po park when I was leaving for Po.
