Kite festival canceled in Moscow

The festival of kites “Motley Sky”, which was supposed to be held on the shore of the Lower Tsaritsyno Pond of the Museum-Reserve “Tsaritsyno” for the 19th time, will not take place.

According to MK, the command to cancel the annual event, which traditionally takes place on the last weekend of summer, was given from above. The museum did not make the decision. Obviously, the city authorities felt that now is not the time for such aerial events.

Recall that the kite festival “Motley Sky” – a festival of wind, sun and music – has been held since 2003. The key moment is the lifting into the air of the largest kite in the country – a thirty-meter whale.
