“We discussed the issues raised during the meeting between the President of the Transition of Burkina Faso and that of the Russian Federation during the Russia-Africa summit in Saint Petersburg. We also discussed the conclusions of the exchanges between the ministers in charge of defense of the two countries in Russia”, declared the Deputy Minister at the end of the audience.
The Russian delegation also presented the actions already carried out in the field of military cooperation and discussed the prospects with the Head of State.
“These are all spheres including military and technical cooperation but also cooperation in the field of the economy, nuclear energy and all the issues that could generate cooperation”, explained Colonel-General Younous-Bek EVKUROV.
The head of the Russian delegation assured the Head of State of his country’s support for the Transition and the people of Burkina Faso in all development sectors.
The sectors of cooperation mainly concern the military field with the training of cadets and Burkinabè officers at all levels, including pilots in Russia, concluded the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Younous -Bek EVKUROV.
