The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned, this Friday, September 8, 2023, the terrorist attacks which had killed more than 60 people in Mali and assured that Moscow would continue to provide assistance to Bamako.

« Russia condemns the recent terrorist attacks in Mali and expresses its sincere condolences to the people and leaders of the country,” said Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova.

« Confirming our constant support for Bamako’s efforts to strengthen security and stability in the friendly republic of Mali, we will continue to provide it with the necessary assistance”, said the official in a press release published on the ministerial website.

At least 64 people including 49 civilians and 15 soldiers were killed in two terrorist attacks claimed by Al Qaeda and which targeted a passenger boat and an army base in northern Mali.
