The question of prolonging the transition, the situation prevailing in Niger are, among others, the questions that were addressed by the Movement for Democracy and Living Together (MDVE). From the start of his remarks, Ousseini Faysal Nanema, president of the said movement, indicated that the time was not for politics, but rather for the union of the sons and daughters of the nation for the reconquest of the territory and the return of peace.

Ousseini Faisal Nanema, President of the MDVE.

For him, the rectification of the transition under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré has produced satisfactory results both in the area of the fight against terrorism and in the area of reforms. Consequently, the extension of the transition becomes necessary for the consolidation of acquired knowledge.

“In view of the salutary actions underway for the reconquest of territory and sovereignty, the movement for democracy and living together is campaigning for the extension of the transition until 2025. This is to allow Captain Ibrahim Traoré and his government to continue the projects underway and put in place enough safeguards so that future regimes do not call into question the many achievements. This extension of the transition is the wish of many Burkinabè who proclaim and demand it”wished Ousseini Faysal Nanema.

In addition, the president of the MDVE was offended by the fact that “despite the achievements of the transition, certain sons of the country still have this obvious desire to destabilize power. How many of them have been condemned for attempted destabilization? », he asked himself.

“The evidence is palpable. We say it loud and clear, those who want to destabilize the transition will have the shame of their lives if they do not think of the best interests of the nation to the detriment of their own interests… Faced with peace-loving patriots, they will not be able to Nothing. Because the people are determined. Nothing can undermine the will of a people standing to conquer its sovereignty”he warned.

On the situation prevailing in Niger, Ousseini Faysal Nanema assured that the MDVE strongly supports the desire of Mali and Burkina Faso to come to the aid of Niger so that “ECOWAS (editor’s note, Economic Community of West African States) understands that only the Nigerien people are empowered to choose their leaders”.
