The Santpedorenc singer and vocalist of the Strombers, Ferran Gallartdied this Thursday due to canceras announced by the Cardonà group itself in a publication through social networks.
“Dear fans and supporters of the Strombers, we regret to inform you that Ferran Gallart, our singer, has left us after battling cancer” says the band in the statement posted on Instagram. The group from Cardón says goodbye in the publication of who has been “the soul of the Strombers who has brought enjoyment to more than one generation in numerous parties all over the country, always giving off good energy and happiness”.
“Following his spirit, we will perpetuate his legacy and remember him as he would have wanted, with joy and music. Fly high, Ferran” concludes the text accompanying two photographs of the singer.
Cancellation of the summer tour
Last July, the band announced the cancellation of the tour they were supposed to do in the summer, with a stop in Manresa on August 28, due to health problems of the vocalist. “Be happy because everything has its meaning and from this I will draw very favorable experiences and learnings. In fact, I am already doing it,” expressed Gallart at the time.
Strombers was formed the 1998 on the terrace of Firabar of Cardona. Since then, the group has published eight discs and has become a benchmark for popular festivals throughout Catalonia.
